Some Basic Info
Pokemon is a great role playing game for Nintendo's Game Boy system released by nintendo of Japan, Game Freak, and Creatures. In it, you are Satoshi, a young boy determined to become the best pokemon trainer in the world (sound familiar?). You do this by capturing various pokemon and then defeating stronger creatures with them. By building a strong arsenal of loyal pokemon, you are able to rise higher and higher in the rankings. It is also possible to hook the Game Boy up to a friends game and battle each other and trade monsters, thus expanding the game.
There are three different versions of the Pokemon game: Red, Blue, and Green. Blue is the rarest, and was released on a limited run. Each color is different; they have different pokemon, different difficulty levels, different items, etc. To really play the full game, you must compete with other players playing different versions of the game, winning monsters that are rare in your particular game (and which are quite often common in a friend's game).
Pokemon will be released to American games on September 28th. Both blue and red versions will be released, so get out there and buy the games! You won't be disappointed.
