Tested known working ADSL Modems:

• SpeedStream 4060 (USB only modem)
• SpeedStream 5260 (ethernet bridge modem)
• SpeedStream 5360 (ethernet bridge modem)
• SpeedStream 5100 (5100B has packet loss problem)
• SpeedStream 4100 (has packet loss problem)
• SpeedStream 5660 (router, but tested as a pass-thru modem only)
• Westell B90-36R516-01 (may need firmware upgrade)
• Zoom X3 (5560 and 5660), X5 (5554 and 5654), X6 (5590)
• TP-LINK TD-8616 (ethernet bridge modem)
• TP-LINK TD-8840T (DSL to ethernet 4 port router)
• TP-LINK TD-W8961ND (DSL to ethernet and WiFi router)
• Modems provided by the phone company should work with our DSL service if they can be reconfigured to act as a bridge or DHCP client, or if their PPPoE login information can be changed.

• In general most equipment and operating systems produced/released since the mid 2000s should work fine as a DHCP client. The days of buggy DHCP clients seem to be behind us.

• PPPoE driver for BeOS
• In general most equipment and operating systems (with a built-in PPPoE client) produced/released since the mid 2000s should work fine as a PPPoE client. The days of buggy PPPoE clients seem to be behind us.

Computer/router equpiment/OS with problems/issues:

• Novell NetWare does not have a PPPoE client, and only Novell NetWare 5.x or newer has a DHCP client.
• Alcatel 1000 modem (does not support F5 loopback cells)
• The SpeedStream 5100B (not 5100A) and 4100 modems have a packet loss issue when data is uploaded. If you are experiencing slow speeds and have one of these modems, it should be replaced with a different model of modem.
• The new Zoom DSL modems such as the X3 5760, X4 5751, X5 5754, X6 5690, and X7N 5790 may not work correctly with our DSL service. You might be able to work around the problem in these modems by setting the DSL mode to T1.413.
• Some, possibly all, newer Netgear DSL modems from the same era as the Zoom modems mentioned above (early to mid 2010s at least?) seem to have the same bug as the new Zooms and therefore also might not work with our DSL service. As far as we know there is no way to work around it in the Netgear modems.
